The Interdisciplinary Research Center, the Jagiellonian University and the City of Krakow invite participants to the lecture “Events in History”, which will be presented on April 5, 2018 by the world-renowned historian Prof. Norman Davies.
Is there a logic of history? What was the role of unpredictable events in the past? Is the history written by events, not by winners? How can you deal with the event problem in historical studies? Do historians try to be too rational looking for justifications for events that were mainly decided by the accident? – these are some questions about the role of incidents in the history of Poland and the whole world.
The lecture will take place on April 5, 2018 at 18.00 in the auditorium of the didactic building of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, ul. Krupnicza 33a.
