The harmfulness of smog, the benefits of a vegetarian diet, the prevention of addictions through sport and the prevention of tooth decay – these are the themes of the meeting as part of the Wrocław Medical University’s “Uruchamiamy Dzieciaki” campaign.
Dr. Tomasz Zatoński presented studies on his thesis that Wrocław is the second (after Krakow) most polluted city in Poland, and Dr. Katarzyna Neubauer tried to convince the audinece that a well- balanced vegetarian diet is appropriate at every stage of life.
The researchers encouraged the young participants of the meeting to physical activity, explaining that sport is one of the forms of preventing addiction – it directs activity on other tracks, teaches how to function in the group, increases self-esteem and reduces the level of anxiety. Finally, the issue of … frequent teeth cleaning was presented. The teeth should be cleaned at least twice a day – after breakfast and supper.
