The Rector’s College of the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow decided to immediately suspend all trips and arrivals of students, doctoral students and employees to and from China and Hong Kong, South Korea, northern Italy (in particular the region of Lombardy, Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna) and Lazio, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. The decision is valid from February 25, 2020 until further notice.
The Jagiellonian University informs that the decision of the Rector’s College was made in connection with the communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Health Organization (WHO) issued on February 24, 2020 regarding the announcement of a state of public health emergency of international significance, which relate to the epidemiological threat of coronavirus 2019- nCoV.
At the same time, the university calls for tracking current reports on the 2019-nCoV virus before making a decision on foreign trips.
