An international consortium coordinated by Dr Magdalena Stobińska from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw (UW) received funding under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Networks within the Horizon 2020 program.
The EUR 4 million grant will enable the development of research and training of young scientists in the field of photonics applications for quantum communication and calculations.
The “AppQInfo – Applications and Hardware for Photonic Quantum Information Processing” project, headed by Dr Magdalena Stobińska, received funding in the competition Innovative Training Networks, which is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, MSCA) in the Horizon 2020 program.
The aim of the competition is to train young researchers as part of a network of international research teams cooperating with the industrial sector. Project topics will include quantum communication, quantum calculations and simulations, and the use of integrated photonic systems.
