Robots from Gdynia to improve the availability of coronavirus tests

07.07.2020

TMA Automation from the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia is developing robots making Polish tests on Covid-19 more available to a wider audience. The works will eliminate the problem of availability and costly production of tests.

The first robotized production line is developed in the Park. It will help develop the target production technology. Completion of works and start of production are planned for autumn this year. First of all, tests carried out on new production lines are to hit the Polish market.

The robots will assemble specialized plastic components for isolating the coronavirus genetic material from patient samples. – The elements produced by our robot will be part of the finished products of one of the Tri-City biotechnology companies, which is already conducting research on effective detection of coronavirus – says Marek Łangowski, president of TMA Automation.
