A new professor joined the Silesian Medical University staff. President Andrzej Duda granted the Full Professorship’s title to Prof. Grażyna Lisowska from the Department and Clinical Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Laryngological Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Grażyna Lisowska is a specialist in otorhinolaryngology. Her scientific activity focuses mainly on issues related to the objective assessment of auditory organs. The most important achievements include the innovative method of assessing the olivarysystem developed in cooperation with HNO (Hals-Nasen-Ohren) Universitätsklinik Kantonsspital Basel.

Professor Lisowska deals mainly with modern methods of treatment of sudden hearing loss and tinnitus as well as sinus diseases and the use of modern endoscopic sinus surgery techniques in clinical practice.
