Justyna Dmytryk, a student of the Faculty of Architecture at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology – won the Polish Vectorworks Design Scholarship Contest. The competition jury awarded her engineering thesis “The project of self-sufficient tourist huts in Cambodia”.
The author has prepared the concept of eight identical tourist huts, a spa building and an observation tower, which would be erected in the “The Vine Retreat” holiday complex in the Kep province of Cambodia – about 150 km from the capital of the country. Buildings would be a kind of hiding place – cut off from the outside world and a large number of strong stimuli.
Located in high and medium green areas, they would have a raised ground floor providing privacy and would be placed far away from other buildings. Each would consist of four modules with separate functions: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and relaxation area – connected by rope bridges.
