Scientists from Toruń to construct a new type of brain-computer interface

The research team led by Dr Wiesława Osińska, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń was among the winners of the competition organized by the CHIST-ERA network. As part of the grant, scientists are planning to construct a new type of brain-computer interface. 

The grant from the CHIST-ERA 2020 European Coordinated Research on Long-term Challenges in Information and Communication Sciences & Technologies will allow scientists to implement the BITSCOPE project: Neuronally integrated tagging for socially curated online user experiences. Financing amounts to 1 million PLN and the time for realization of the project is 36 months.

The research consortium responsible for the implementation of the grant includes: University of Toruń, Insight SFI Research Center for Data Analytics, Dublin City University from Ireland, Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest, LaBRI, Universite de Bordeaux from France and Technical University of Valencia from Spain.
