Researcher of the Silesian University of Technology receives “IAAM Young Scientist Medal” award

Dr Eng. Krystian Mistewicz, assistant professor at the Institute of Physics – Science and Didactic Center of the Silesian University of Technology, received the “IAAM Young Scientist Medal” award, granted by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) based in Sweden.

The prize was awarded for his contribution to the study of nanomaterials for the conversion and recovery of various forms of energy. As part of this award, Dr Mistewicz gave a lecture “Ternary chalcohalide nanowires for energy harvesting, sensing, and environmental remediation”, which was published in the “Video Proceedings of Advanced Materials” journal.

The IAAM awards young and emerging scientists who have carried out high-quality research in materials science, engineering and technology or have demonstrated merits and potential. The association honors scientists with the “Young Scientist” awards at the initial stage of their careers, motivating them to continue their scientific work and research.
