The article by the staff of the Department of Digital Economy Research at the University of Economics in Katowice (EU) has been published in the prestigious Energies journal. Dr Robert Wolny and Dr Magdalena Jaciow are co-authors of the text “The Influence of Environmental Awareness on Responsible Energy Consumption – The Case of Households in Poland”.
The growing environmental impact of consumption is a topic that has been widely discussed for decades, and has attracted the attention of academia for several decades and has raised questions about the predecessors of responsible consumption.
The aim of the article by scientists from the University of Katowice was to examine the impact of environmental awareness on responsible energy consumption. The results of the research confirmed the important mediating role of the mobilization attitude and environmental awareness in explaining the relationship between perceived consumer efficiency and energy efficiency and behavior reduction.
