Dr Magdalena Jas-Nowopolska from the University of Gdansk has won the Dr Herbert Stolzenberg Prize, awarded every two years for outstanding research in social, economic and legal sciences at the German Justus-Liebig University in Giessen.
The laureate was recognised for her research on the legal conditions of business freedom in Poland and Germany and the impact of the European integration process on economic relations in these countries. It was carried out jointly with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Giessen within the framework of the scientific project entitled. ‘Freedom of economic activity in Polish and German legal culture – a comparative perspective’.
The Herbert Stolzenberg Research Award for Excellent Academic Achievement is presented to academics who stand out for their excellent research achievements and exceptional commitment in their disciplines.
