The first educational programme “Mazovia for Education”, implemented by the University of Warsaw (UW) and the Mazovian Voivodeship Government, has come to an end. For two semesters, teachers from the Mazovia region took part in free postgraduate courses, which enabled them to improve their competences in teaching remotely.
The postgraduate studies were conducted at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Polish Studies of the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Warsaw.
Classes lasted two semesters and began in March this year. The study participants were 60 headmasters (or deputy headmasters) and 60 teachers and pedagogues from schools for which the managing body is a county or a city with county rights, as well as from schools for which the managing body is the Mazovian Voivodeship Self-Government.
The “Mazovia for Education” project is a pilot action, which the Mazovian local government wants to continue and expand in the future.
