Poland’s first pilot Laboratory for Active Use of Technology (PAKT) has been opened at the Technical University of Lodz (PŁ). It will provide a venue for educational workshops for children, young people and adults, based on problem-based, project-based work and the three leading STEAM paths: robotics, programming and multimedia.

The official opening of the PAKT Workshop was attended, among others, by Janusz Cieszyński, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Government Plenipotentiary for Cyber Security.

“As a leading technical university, we understand the social need to launch pilot, state-of-the-art digital laboratories that will perfectly complement the process of academic education. We also understand the idea of lifelong learning very well, which is why the launch of a laboratory open to the local community is part of our mission”, said Professor Paweł Strumiłło, Vice-Chancellor for Development at PŁ.
