The Pomeranian Medical University of Szczecin is again among the universities nominated for the ELSEVIER Research Impact Leaders Awards in the Medical Sciences category. The award is part of Elsevier’s global initiative to support research and scientific development. 

The awards are given in six broad disciplines: Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Technologies, Humanities, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. They recognise outstanding research institutions that have the greatest impact on scientific research and contribute to better recognition of Polish science worldwide.

Elsevier recognises universities whose publications have had the greatest impact on the perception (visibility) of Polish science worldwide. This is defined by a continuous increase in the number of publications in the most prestigious scientific journals and the share of foreign co-authors and citations in a given discipline.
