Researchers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding at the Gdansk University of Technology, in cooperation with foreign universities, are implementing the project ‘New Approach to Innovate Technologies in Manufacturing (NEPTUN)’. Together they will work to raise the level of excellence of the university in the area of manufacturing in the broadest sense.

The project also includes a package related to strengthening the competencies of project administrative staff. The idea is for the faculty project team to enhance their European project management skills by learning from their partners.

Cooperation with industry is also an important activity. A Cluster of Excellence is to be established at Gdansk University of Technology, as well as an Advisory Board for Manufacturing Companies. The participants will also jointly create a Good Practice Compendium.

The project partners are Technische Universitaet Berlin (Germany), Kungliga Tekniska Hoegskolan Stockholm (Sweden) and the National University of Athens (Greece).
