A journalism lab has opened at the Faculty of Political Science and Social Communication at the University of Opole (UO). Students have 11 computer workstations at their disposal, suitable for editing audio and video material. Special software and licences for its use have also been purchased, reports the university.

“This laboratory will be used primarily by future journalists, i.e. students of journalism and social communication. I am delighted that it has come into being. It was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Opole Voivodeship Marshal”, said Opole University Rector Professor Marek Masnyk.

The room will host classes for students, which will include the production and editing of video and audio materials, but also press workshops, where knowledge will be imparted on the composition of newspapers and working with photographs.
