The University of Silesia has taken first place in the education and research category, in the Forbes magazine’s ranking of Poland’s Best Employers 2023.
The university was ranked 51st in the overall list of 300 companies and institutions selected from among 1,900 employers who employ at least 250 people. The preparation of the ranking was based on individual interviews conducted by analysts with employees of companies and institutions.
The creators of the ranking took into account, among other things, image and growth (e.g. subjective feeling about employment growth and general opinion of the employer); development and prospects (opportunity for personal development, subjective feeling of appreciation of the work performed), as well as sustainability (e.g. awareness of ecological responsibility, employer’s environmental activities) and workload (e.g. holiday policy, flexibility of working hours).
