10th Polish-German COPERNICUS Prize competition

The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) are inviting participants to apply for the tenth competition for the COPERNICUS Prize (2024) for outstanding Polish and German scientists. The deadline for applications is 12 July 2023.

The COPERNICUS Prize is a joint initiative of the FNP and DFG, implemented since 2006. The aim of the award is to honour outstanding female and male scientists from Poland and Germany who have made special contributions to Polish-German cooperation and can demonstrate outstanding research achievements resulting from this cooperation in any field of science, including the humanities and social sciences. 

The prize is awarded through a competition to a pair of scholars, with one person working in Poland and the other in Germany. The amount of the prize is EUR 200,000 – EUR 100,000 for each winner.
