The Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering faculty at the Opole University of Technology is one of only four study programmes in Poland to have been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Education. The course was awarded in the category: always for the students – excellence in supporting student development.
In its assessment of the faculty, the Polish Accreditation Committee noted that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has a comprehensive, permanent and diverse system of support for students, which helps them achieve their didactic, academic and professional goals. This system is tailored to the needs of different groups of students, including outstanding students, international students and students with disabilities.
“This is the first time our university has received such an important certificate. For us, this is first and foremost a confirmation of the high quality of education and also great satisfaction, as the awarding of the certificate was significantly influenced by the opinions of the students themselves”, says the Vice-Rector for Education and Didactics, Dr Anida Stanik-Besler.
