Dr Katarzyna Kotowska, head of the Department of Romance Literatures at the Institute of Romance Philology at the University of Gdańsk, received a French Government Scholarship to continue critical- literary research on autobiographical texts in contemporary French prose.

The French Embassy in Poland annually awards Polish scholars with French Government Scholarships for a research stay. The jury of the competition assesses evaluating the application, the scientific excellence of the submitted projects and the possibility of establishing new scientific cooperation between centers in Poland and France.

This year, 37 laureates from Polish research centers will benefit from the French Government Scholarship for a research stay. Scholarship holders receive financial support for a trip to France for 1 to 3 months. The Gdańsk scholarship holder will start an internship with Prof. Dominique Viart in l’Observatoire des Écritures contemporaines françaises et francophones (Université Paris – Nanterre).
