Pola Kopras, a student of Wrocław University of Science and Technology won the international architectural competition “Homestead: Design a farmhouse”. The jury appreciated the design of the house and farm in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha.
Participants in the competition organized by the UNI industry portal were tasked to design a country house in an agricultural region of Spain, “to blend it in” the architecture of the surroundings, blurring the line between what is outside and what is inside.
A student of the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology decided to use natural building materials and use local traditional construction systems, as well as not to limit the space of arable fields to specific sections of the plot. She designed the building complex in such a way that their clearances were a place for nature, and she wove pastures, paddocks, gardens and recreation areas into the arrangement of objects and various crops.
