A pilot stage of the “Akademia_CYBER.MIL” programme has been inaugurated at Collegium Witelona – Higher Education Institution in Legnica. It is intended to support civilian universities in the implementation of education in IT and cyber security. The project will continue until 2025 in universities across Poland.

“Academy_CYBER.MIL” is addressed in particular to public vocational universities, operating in smaller urban centres with up to 100,000 inhabitants, providing education in technical faculties, mainly related to IT and cyber security. The pilot is coordinated by the Department of Cyber Security of the Ministry of National Defence, while the academic partner is Collegium Witelon – the University of Legnica.

The programme, aiming to develop the potential of the Polish Armed Forces to conduct operations in cyberspace, concerns educational activities and support for universities in educating students in IT and cyber-security-related majors.
