Students and staff at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz have been given another modern teaching building at the university’s main campus. More than 50 lecture halls, classrooms, computer rooms and faculty rooms are now located on three storeys. The building also has the necessary sanitary and technical facilities.

During the works, the old library was rebuilt. Among other things, two new staircases with lifts were installed, and part of the building’s structural elements were replaced. Modern technical installations were created, the external and internal joinery was changed, suspended ceilings were installed and the roof was insulated. The value of the work on the second stage of the redevelopment of the old library is more than PLN 10 million. The contractor provided a six-year guarantee.

The old main library was erected in the early 1990s. The building ceased to perform its library function eight years ago, when a modern library was built in Szymanowski Street, the university reports.
