Adam Mickiewicz University researchers won the Beethoven Classic and Beethoven Life competitions

Researchers at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań are winners of the Beethoven Classic and Beethoven Life competitions organized by the National Science Center and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.

The winners of Beethoven Classic are Dr Eng. Jędrzej Walkowiak, who together with Prof. Dr Walter Leiter from the German RWTH Aachen University will lead the project “Catalytic hydrosilylation in the SILP / scCO2 system – an innovative approach to the reduction and functionalization of alkynes, imines and carbonyl compounds” and Dr Maciej Karpiński, who with Prof. Cornelia Müller from the European University Viadrina will lead the project “Occupation: Expressive movement and affective attitude. Political debates in the German Bundestag and Polish Sejm. ”

Among the winners of the Beethoven Life competition are Dr Sławomir Stanisław Cerbin with the project “Can the evolution of parasites enhance the effects of global warming?” and Prof. Artur Michał Jarmołowski with the project “U1 snRNP and polyadenylation – new connections”.
