The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and Microsoft have signed a letter of intent on cooperation, under which they will undertake educational and research activities in IT.
A benefit of the agreement will also be a mentoring program for AGH students enabling them to use Microsoft technology more effectively in various applications.
The mentoring programme, carried out jointly with Microsoft, is mainly aimed at students who will soon be defending their master’s theses. The primary aim is to support the graduates throughout the thesis process. “Individual mentoring takes place with the participation of experts from the company and can be an extremely valuable support for the students themselves”, emphasises Professor Marek Kisiel-Dorohinicki, director of the Institute of Computer Science at AGH.
