AGH University of Science and Technology to launch “AGH SCIENCE meeting”

29.10.2021

The AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow is inviting all inhabitants of Krakow, supporters of science to a new series of “AGH SCIENCE meetings”.

What mission should the university of the future fulfil? How can the development of space technologies help to protect the environment and protect us against the decline of raw materials on Earth? On Wednesday, November 3, at 18, Prof. Jerzy Lis, Rector of AGH and Prof. Tadeusz Uhl, Director of the AGH UST Space Technologies Center will answer those questions in the Didactic Center of AGH.

“AGH SCIENCE meetings” is a new series of short, 30-minute speeches, allowing scholars to explain what they do within their scientific work and how their research translates into a reality close to the average people. They will speak simply, so that their message is understandable to people who do not work in laboratories on a daily basis and do not follow professional literature.

The organizers are planning to organize a total of 9 face-to-face meetings in the academic year 2021/2022, which will later be available also on the AGH YouTube channel.
