The CYFRONET Academic Computer Center of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow is implementing a new generation of intelligent tools in veterinary diagnostics under the CyfroVet project dealing with neoplastic changes in animals.
The main goal of the CyfroVet project is to shorten the time of cytological tests, which are the first step in the diagnosis of neoplastic lesions in animals.
The project will allow to significantly shorten the time for preliminary results by using an automated system. It allows scientists to take a photo of a sample of the cytological material and then analyze it with the use of artificial intelligence algorithms that allow assessing pathological changes in the preparation. On this basis, the physician can more easily make a preliminary decision regarding the next steps in the process of diagnosis and treatment.
