Almost PLN 7 million allocated for the research excellence programme at the University of Economics in Katowice

The University of Economics (UE) in Katowice has received funding of PLN 6,990,000 from the Ministry of Science as part of the ‘Regional Excellence Initiative’ programme for a project entitled ‘UEKAT Research and Education Excellence Programme’. The project will be implemented between 2024 and 2027.

The aim of the project is to raise the quality level of the university’s scientific and research activities and to improve the level of education, with particular emphasis on the discipline of economics and finance.

The specific objectives of the project include the development and strengthening of the scientific staff of the EU Katowice, who conduct research and educate students in the above-mentioned scientific discipline, and increasing the significance and impact of the EU Katowice’s scientific and research activities on the socio-economic environment.

Planned activities will include the launch of an internal grant programme to finance research carried out by research teams and young scientists.
