New university centres to support research, commercialisation and education at Wrocław University of Technology

The development of interdisciplinary research, also in cooperation with other research centres and the economic environment, commercialisation of the results and educational activities are the most important tasks of six new centres established at Wrocław University of Technology.

At the end of 2023, the following centres were established: Centre for Urban Innovation: Architecture, Engineering, Technology, Mobility; Centre for Material Engineering and Metal Forming; Centre for Defence Innovation and Technology; Centre for Micro- and Nanoelectronics, Micro- and Nanosystems, and Micro- and Nanoengineering; Centre for Trusted Information and Telecommunication Systems; and Centre for Advanced Raw Materials and Energy Technologies.

“We want to be a university providing strong support for the economy and contributing to the development of Wrocław and the region, also in the context of European integration. Our task is also to educate young people in a modern way and to support a broad educational environment”, says the rector of PWr, Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs.

Modern economy
