Near Wieluń in the Łódź province, a team of researchers affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Łódź (UŁ) has discovered ancient burials that can be dated to the Early Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age.
The discovery is the result of research by a team comprising archaeology students of the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Łódź and volunteers – graduates of the faculty, working under the direction of Professor Radosław Janiak.
During the research seven corpse burials and one deposit of vessels were discovered. The preliminary results of the research make it possible to confirm several stages of use of this necropolis.
