In the summer semester, the online Polish language course will be started at the largest state university in Greece – the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. It is a joint initiative of the Greek university, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens.
The proposal was positively assessed by Greek students. So far, 85 people have signed up and there are more and more people. Classes will be conducted by the staff of the Department of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners of the Adam Mickiewicz University. Due to the pandemic, they will initially be held online, but from October 2021, they will be permanently offered in class at the University of Thessaloniki.
Launching the language course is the result of bilateral cooperation between universities within the European University EPICUR. The European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions is a consortium consisting of universities and research centers from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Greece and Poland.
