12.07.2018

The Naval Academy in Gdynia won the Amber Medallion in the Admiral Xawery Czernicki Grand Prix Competition. The award was granted for the Ports Protection, Passive Defense and Underwater Reconnaissance Module.

The strategic object protection system is an advanced, technologically integrated system of controlling the changes of physical field parameters in the underwater marine environment. It is equipped with detectors enabling measurement of physical features of the watercraft: hydroacoustic, electric, seismic parameters.

It enables detecting and analyzing parameters of physical field for passive defense of ships, mine wars, port security and monitoring of maritime communication routes, which is of particular importance in the case of asymmetric threats. It can be used to protect ports and objects of strategic importance – fuel bases, reloading terminals, drilling rigs and water dams.
