The University received a grant from the Digital Poland program for the “development of digital competences among teachers and students from grades 1-3 of the Białystok and Sokólski counties”. The project is implemented by the IT department of the Białystok University of Technology until the end of 2019 and its value is over PLN 1 million – informs the university.

The main goal of the program is to introduce programming (as extracurricular activities, and in the longer term as integrated education) to 1-3 classes of primary schools in rural and rural-urban communes of the Białystok and Sokólski counties. As part of the lessons, primary school teachers can acquire the skills necessary to teach programming.
