Sophia robot receives the student transcript of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow

Sophia, a humanoid robot is the special guest at the largest congress of new technologies in Central and Eastern Europe Impact’18, held in Krakow. It received a student transcript of AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH)  during the event. Sophia, who visited Poland for the first time, last year received the citizenship of Saudi Arabia as the first robot in the world.
According to Anna Żmuda-Muszyńska, a spokesman for the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, the university has been carrying out very advanced works related to implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence for several decades.
Vice-rector for cooperation of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków Prof. Jerzy Lis handing the student transcript to the robot emphasized: – This gesture, apart from its symbolic expression, is also a signal for the world that technical sciences are ready to face the challenges of artificial development intelligence. Vice-Rector also added: – Developing issues related to the implementation of artificial intelligence is a must and a duty of the university to answer the challenges of the future.
