A Boeing 737 MAX cockpit replica is being built at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). The simulator is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. It will be used in classes with students and will be used for theses.

“The simulator will provide us with access to state-of-the-art software modelling the operation of on-board systems of passenger aircraft, and will give us the opportunity to learn everything from behind the scenes”, says Dr Eng. Maciej Zasuwa – initiator and coordinator of work on the simulator, head of the Simulator Laboratory in the Automation and Aircraft Equipment Department at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Aeronautics at the Warsaw University of Technology. “This is extremely important in teaching future engineers who will develop such systems”, he adds.

According to the PW, the created model will be used by aviation and aerospace students, e.g. in the subjects ‘Flight Deck Systems’, ‘Simulators’ and ‘Simulation of Aerospace Systems’, as well as their English equivalents. The model will also be at the disposal of those preparing theses related to the construction of simulators and the operation of the B737-class aircraft.
