Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University to launch Medical Simulation Center

The Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw will launch a Medical Simulation Center in the new facility of Collegium Medicum. The center will serve nursing students.

More than PLN 2.5 million was received by the Medical Faculty of Collegium Medicum UKSW for the creation of a Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center for the UKSW nursing course.

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of nursing students’ education. By learning at the simulation center, students will practice real situations in hospitals. The teaching staff of the Faculty of Medicine will also be involved in the project. Scientists from the UKSW will be trained in the use of equipment at the Center, and will also prepare their own simulation scenarios.

The funds for the project were allocated by the Ministry of Health as part of the Knowledge, Education and Development operational program. The project will start in January 2021.
