Centre for Innovation and Research in Health-Promoting and Safe Food opened in Krakow

“The Centre for Innovation and Research in Health-Promoting and Safe Food is a research unit that aims primarily at prototyping food products that will reach consumers with specific health-promoting needs”, said the Rector of the University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK), Professor Sylwester Tabor, during the opening ceremony.

The Centre will conduct innovative research into food and methods of its production, thanks to which it will be possible to develop and implement innovative products and technologies on the Polish agri-food processing market, aiming to: produce safe food of high quality and pro-health values, ensure the ecology of production (minimising by-products and waste, reducing energy and water consumption, protecting the environment), increase the competitiveness of Polish food and the entire food sector.
