Refugee and Emigration Research Centre has been established at the Koszalin University of Technology. One of the aims of the unit is to popularise knowledge of the Polish diaspora, Poles and people of Polish origin from various regions of the world.
The Centre will carry out scientific activities focused on the study of the past and present state of Polish exile and emigration in various regions of the world. As part of the project, in cooperation with the State Archives in Koszalin, a catalogue will be compiled of a collection of sources acquired by employees of the university’s humanities department, as well as those donated by national and foreign partners.
A special web portal will be created to present the Centre’s collections as fully as possible. Two scientific conferences are also planned on the state of research into the independence exile and the contribution of Koszalin researchers to this area of science. The Centre will also organise educational and popularisation events.
