The Polish-American Fulbright Commission and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia are inviting the participants to an international scientific conference entitled “The future of scientific research in the light of copyright, codes of ethics for researchers and criteria for assessing the quality of research.”
The event is planned for January 31 to February 1 and is addressed in particular to scientists, graduates and scholarship holders of the Fulbright program. The program will include three thematic panels and a discussion on issues related to the impact of the policy of scoring scientific works on the development of social sciences and humanities.
Themes of the panels include: Between inspiration and plagiarism. How to determine the author’s contribution to scientific research; Attribution of authorship of scientific works in the field of exact sciences in the light of copyright law, principles of ethics and customs as well as Internationalization and evaluation of social sciences and humanities.
