The Technical University of Łódź (PŁ) has a new partner for international cooperation. The university authorities have signed an agreement with the Chinese Jimei University.

On the part of the Chinese university, the agreement was initialled by the president of Jimei University, Xie Chaotian, and on the part of the Łódź University of Technology by the rector, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik. 

The rectors emphasised their interest in cooperation in education and scientific initiatives, as well as in applying for joint research programmes. The meeting also discussed preliminary activities concerning the education of Chinese students in MA studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at PŁ.

The establishment and development of cooperation is taking place with the support of the Polish-Chinese Foundation for Academic Cooperation.

Jimei University is a university located in Xiamen. It has a tradition of over 100 years. It currently educates 30,000 students in 64 undergraduate majors and 12 postgraduate majors. It also provides doctoral programmes.
