Until 23 September, people can apply for the ‘Cybetron’ game testing IT skills and creative problem-solving abilities in cyber security and critical infrastructure. Thanks to the cooperation of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodship the game will involve students from Poland and the Czech Republic.

The aim of the game is to build awareness of the dangers that may lurk online, learn how to deal with them and possibly eliminate them without harming the user. The students’ task will be to stop a hacker attack on a municipal water supply company and an attempt to disrupt the water supply to a large agglomeration.

Students from the White Hats and TK Games research groups operating at the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications, as well as students from the Academic High School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, who took part in the previous competition in the Czech Republic, were involved in creating the scenario of the game and some of the tasks.
