The Vice-Chancellor for Science of the Krakow University of Technology (PK), Prof. Dariusz Bogdał, and the President of the Central Office of Weights and Measures (GUM), Prof. Jacek Semaniak, signed two agreements on cooperation in projects implemented by PK thanks to funding from the “Polish Metrology” programme.

In June this year, the Ministry of Education and Science settled the first competition under the new programme, which is a joint initiative of the MEiN and the GUM. Twenty-six projects with a total value of more than PLN 21.2 million were qualified for funding, including three projects involving the Krakow University of Technology.

The agreements concluded provide for the active participation of GUM employees in project teams, the exchange of knowledge, consultations, substantive advice in the field of the metrology of geometric quantities and coordinate metrology, as well as the publication of articles on projects carried out at the Krakow University of Technology and their results in a GUM scientific journal.
