Deputy Minister Müller believes that the Constitution for Science is an opportunity for young scientists

08.03.2018

There are scholars who have got used to the fact that after receiving the professor title or postdoctoral degree they have nothing to do. We want to change it because we believe that every Polish professor might bring a lot to the Polish science – emphasized Piotr Müller, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education in the program “Radio Morning for You”.

Müller stressed that the Constitution for Science brings radical changes for young scientists. The career path will be improved, the habilitation duty will be abolished, doctoral schools will be created, and a scholarship system will be created for each PhD student.
Referring to the allegations that the Constitution for Science will promote only large universities, Deputy Minister Müller said: Universities that want to change will receive funds. And the size of the university does not matter. We simply want to introduce the pro-quality mechanisms by this law.
