Digitalization of the Wrocław University of Technology collections

26.09.2018

Almost 280,000 various objects – technical magazines, architectural reports, photos and negatives will be digitized at the Center for Science and Technology of the Wrocław University of Technology.

As part of digitization, Polish magazines issued since 1948 are scanned and recorded – including titles issued by the University of Technology, which are a valuable source of research and are an important element of national heritage, illustrating the development of Polish science over the years and its impact on world science.

Digitization and development of the resource will ensure safe, long-term storage and further archiving in digital form. In the next stage, it will enable broad access to materials on the Internet – using the most modern Polish digital libraries. The selected part of the collection will be developed in accordance with WCAG 2.0 standards, which will allow it to be accessible to people with disabilities.
