Diploma presented at the Wrocław University of Technology wins the Concrete Architecture competition

The diploma presented by Apolonia Slesarow, the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology took first place in the 22nd Concrete Architecture competition. The jury appreciated her project of an asylum for a single mother with a child.

The center would consist of three buildings: public utility, workshop and residential part. The entire complex would have almost 2.5 thousand sq m. of usable space and it would be surrounded by over 10 thousand. sq m. of a park and gardens.

Asylum will be a safe place where mothers can overcome their traumas, focus on themselves, their children and relationships to build a happy family. The center would also help them find their way in society again.

The Concrete Architecture competition is organized by the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology and the Cement Producers Association. Together, they award projects that emphasize the aesthetic and structural qualities of concrete in architecture.
