Diplomas of students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology appreciated in an architectural competition

Two diplomas presented at the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology won the recognition by the jurors of the competition for the best diploma theses in the industry of green roofs and living walls. The first prize was granted for the concept of the Wrocław hostel for cyclists, and the project of the museum – the Antropocentrum in Katowice.

In the category of engineering works, the first place was awarded to Łukasz Modrzejewski for the project “Haven for cyclists in Wrocław”. The student designed a hostel for cyclists with a workshop space and a cafe. The facility would be erected on the site of the former port “Oława Mouth” in Wrocław.

In the category of master’s theses, the award was received by Dobrochna Lata for the project “New geography: Antropocentrum. Museum of unnatural history in Katowice. The author dealt with the post-mining heap in the southern district of Katowice. She designed a route there, connecting two contexts that determined the shape of the district: nature and mine.
