Dr Lidia Davybida, National Technical University of Oil and Gas in Ivano-Frankivsk began a scientific internship at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She will conduct research related to the observation of groundwater levels.
Dr Davybida is a laureate of the Ivan Wyhowski Award. She studies the shaping of groundwater resources and the hydrogeological regime in natural and man-made conditions, and analyzes the interaction between groundwater dynamics and the development of dangerous exogenous geological processes and the use of GIS in geological research.
The Wyhowski Award honors the merits of Ukrainians in the development of science, culture and public life, in shaping and developing a civil society and building a democratic Ukraine – oriented towards Europe, taking into account the best traditions of the former Commonwealth of Poland and historical, contemporary and future ties with Poland and Europe.
