A summary of the two programmes “PE with AWF – Active return of students to school after the pandemic” and the presentation of the assumptions of the next iteration of the project was the main topic of the conference organised at the Academy of Physical Education (AWF) in Warsaw.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, the Rector of the Academy of Physical Education (AWF) in Warsaw, Professor Bartosz Molik, and experts leading the research teams: Professor Paweł Tomaszewski (coordinator of the physical fitness team) and Professor Hubert Makaruk (coordinator of the fundamental movement skills team).

‘More than PLN 100 million of funding from the Ministry of Education and Science involved in this project, including this year, has resulted in the creation of more than 30,000 Sport-Clubs and several hundred thousand children and young people, mainly from primary schools, mainly from grades I-III, who actively participate in activities within the Sport-Clubs every week’, said Minister Czarnek, summarising the results of the programme.
