The Polish Space Agency has collected proposals for Polish research experiments that could be carried out on the International Space Station (ISS). Scientists from the Space Research Centre at Wrocław University of Science and Technology submitted their two projects.

The first experiment is related to a broad-band survey of the atmosphere inside the ISS using a miniature ion mass spectrometer and a miniature plasma spectrometer with optical readout. The second is to study the response of cells to cancer therapy drugs under weightless conditions. This is an extension of the project of the first Polish bio-nanosatellite, which was launched into space in January 2022.

The International Space Station functions as a large laboratory placed in low Earth orbit. This allows for the study of the effects of microgravity on biological and technical structures in, among others, astrobiology, astronomy, physical sciences or materials science.
