Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics and Computer Science of the Opole University of Technology receives Tango grant

Scientists of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics and Computer Science of the Opole University of Technology have obtained a grant under the Tango program – a joint project of the National Center for Research and Development and the National Science Center. The subsidy of over 240,000 PLN will help carry out a project concerning partial discharges in power transformers.

The implementation of the system developed by Opole scientists, will reduce the failure rate and operating costs of high-voltage devices, as well as increase the reliability of electricity supply and the safety of people in the energy sector.

The Tango competition is aimed at research units and scientific and industrial consortia that conduct conceptual work, industrial research and development work based on the results of basic research previously financed by the National Science Center.
